Review the intended profile history
Netflix's browser instructions are Account > Profiles > the relevant profile > Viewing activity. Use Show More for additional entries. Download all creates a list readable in CSV-compatible spreadsheet software. For an inactive account, its help instead points to requesting a copy of account information. Review which profile and record are needed before downloading. Netflix: profile viewing records and CSV download
Read the effects before hiding watched titles
From that profile's Viewing activity page, Netflix documents the hide icon beside a title or episode, with a series option after hiding an episode. Hide all is a separate confirmation. The help notes the up-to-24-hour device update and Kids-profile restriction. This control addresses the stated viewing and recommendation features; use the separate data-request or deletion route for a different goal. Netflix: hiding watched titles and its limits
Review device access and any intended sign-out
Netflix documents Manage Access and Devices > the down arrow beside a device > Sign Out. Sign Out of All Devices is a separate control. Review the device and the documented display delays and exclusions before choosing an action. The device list is not a complete real-time inventory. Netflix: device access, sign-out and list limitations
Review the available advertising choices
For an eligible non-Kids profile, Netflix's help documents Account > Privacy and data settings and separate Behavioral Advertising, Demographic Advertising and Matched Identifier Communications choices. Availability varies. The same help says cookie and resettable-device-identifier choices can be specific to a browser or device. Review those separately from account settings; ads can remain after a personalization opt-out. Netflix: household, advertising and device choices
Review the correct data-copy request for the account role
The account-information help directs account owners to the linked Get my info page. It says producing a copy can take up to 30 days after verification. A profile user who supplied a profile email can contact Netflix's privacy address for a copy, but the account owner will be notified. Read that distinction before making a request. Netflix: account information and data-copy requests
Read the effects before permanent deletion
Netflix's deletion help documents Account > Security > Delete account in a browser, followed by its Security Check and confirmation. It says active memberships are canceled and the account permanently deleted at the end of the current billing period; the request can be undone before then. Third-party billing has separate cancellation requirements. Consult the current device- and billing-specific instructions before a permanent choice. Netflix: account deletion versus membership cancellation
For removing another specific field or profile, Netflix's retention help points to separate instructions. Its legal and billing retention description remains relevant. Do not assume a profile edit, sign-out or marketing choice erases every account record. Netflix: different removal controls and retained information
