Viewing activity belongs to a profile

Netflix's viewing-history help says its Account page shows watched TV shows and movies by profile. It offers a downloadable list as well. A profile can therefore have a viewing record separate from what is currently shown in Continue Watching. Netflix: profile viewing records and CSV download

The account-information help also lists owner contact details, membership and billing information, profile preferences, title interactions and privacy choices among account records. Viewing history is one category of account information rather than a complete picture of everything held. Netflix: account information and data-copy requests

Device activity is useful but incomplete

Netflix's device help says Manage Access and Devices can show device type, most recent streaming profile and last-watched date and time. It warns that entries can take up to 48 hours to appear. Devices inactive for more than 90 days, used only for games, or used only for Tudum may not appear, and some device details can be incomplete. Netflix: device access, sign-out and list limitations

Hiding a title changes specific viewing features

Netflix says a hidden title stops appearing as watched, is removed from Continue Watching and is not used for recommendations unless watched again. The change can take up to 24 hours across devices, and the hiding action is unavailable when reached from a Kids profile. These are the documented effects of hiding a title. Household and advertising controls have other purposes

Netflix's data-use help describes IP addresses, device IDs and account activity used to determine whether a device is part of the Netflix Household. This is separate from the watched-title list. Netflix: household, advertising and device choices

The same help separates behavioral advertising based on activity on unaffiliated services, demographic advertising, and contact-identifier matching for Netflix marketing elsewhere. Eligible profiles can have different choices; declining a type of ad personalization does not necessarily remove ads. Netflix: household, advertising and device choices

Cancellation and data deletion are different decisions

Netflix's deletion guide says standard account deletion occurs 24 months after membership cancellation, with an earlier-deletion request route. For an active membership, the described deletion normally takes effect after the current billing period. That account process should not be confused with hiding one watched title. Netflix: account deletion versus membership cancellation

Its broader retention help separately describes removing account profiles, viewing history, payment methods and other information. It says information can be retained for legal, billing, records and other purposes in the privacy statement. An account action is not a universal deadline for every record.
