Find the existing Health Connect controls
For Android 14 and later, Google documents Settings > Security and privacy > Privacy Controls > Health Connect. Older installed versions use the app route. Google: Health Connect storage, categories and copies
Review individual apps and data types
In Health Connect, Google documents Permissions and data > App permissions. Select an app and review its read and write categories. Specific permissions can be turned off separately, or the app connection removed. Review the scope before changing it. Google: Health Connect read and write permissions
Review scheduled export separately
Google documents searching Settings for Health Connect, then Manage data > Backup and restore > Scheduled export. Review frequency and the chosen destination. Successful export information includes its file name, destination app and date. Turning scheduling off leaves earlier exports in place. Google: optional Health Connect exports and their limits
Review Apple app and device access
In the selected iOS 27 guide, Apple documents Health > Summary > picture or initials > Privacy > Apps or Devices. Select an item to review and change its permission to read or write Health data. Apple iOS 27: Health app access and sharing controls
Review existing people and provider sharing
Apple documents Health > Sharing, selecting an existing person or provider, then View Shared Data. Stop Sharing or Remove Account are separate choices if access should end. Apple iOS 27: Health app access and sharing controls
Review iCloud scope before any deletion
Apple documents Settings > account name > iCloud > See All > Health. Review sync separately from deletion. Its help warns that deleting synced Health data on one device also removes it from other devices using that iCloud account. Apple: Health sources, device data and iCloud sync
Keep copied information in view
Google says apps or devices can retain separate copies after Health Connect database deletion. Review the relevant app or device rather than assuming one local deletion recalls everything. Google: Health Connect storage, categories and copies
