Parking, plates and location records

How parking apps connect plates, places and payments

ParkMobile illustrates how a parking transaction creates a location record, how enrolled camera parking differs, and why business and personal history views need separate review.

Conceptual illustration

A transaction can locate parking without phone GPS

ParkMobile's privacy policy lists parking facility, arrival and departure times, purchased services and location among transaction data. A parking record can therefore connect an account or vehicle with a place and time. ParkMobile: transaction records, plate data and privacy requests

Its current getting-started help says phone location services are not required because the zone and city identify where the person parked. It also warns that the app map cannot identify the correct zone with complete certainty. Review the actual parking signs and transaction details. Plate lookup and enrolled camera parking are different

The getting-started help says enforcement personnel can look up the zone, space when needed and license plate to confirm payment. That describes a payment-validation record; it does not establish that a camera captured every parked vehicle. ParkMobile help: location services, zone and session details

The Camera Park help describes a feature users activate, with a plate image at an enabled facility's entrance and recognition again at exit, followed by automatic payment. This is a described service capability, not evidence of equipment at any particular parking location. ParkMobile help: camera enrollment and old plates

The operator and parking app have separate responsibilities

ParkMobile's terms say third parties operate parking facilities and posted restrictions take precedence over app information. The terms describe sharing service information with facilities or partners, potentially including vehicle, plate, phone number and parking times. Ask the actual operator about its own records and rules. ParkMobile: operator roles and enrolled camera parking

Business account views can cover employee sessions

The active-session help distinguishes a customer's mobile view from ParkMobile for Business Personal Pages, where business customers can view active employee parking sessions. A work-funded account can therefore need a different audience review from a personal account. ParkMobile help: active sessions and business visibility

The parking-history help describes recent Activity in the app and confirmation emails, with broader business history and filters by vehicle or mobile number in Personal Pages. Keep the product and account role clear when interpreting what a history screen shows. ParkMobile help: recent history and business account views

A history screen does not settle every retention question

The privacy policy describes retention for collected purposes, potential legal or regulatory proceedings and legal requirements. Its ANPR section separately addresses verifying parking charges and applicable legal retention. A shorter app view does not establish when every operator, receipt, invoice or plate record is deleted.
