Boone County Sheriff's Office
License plate reader records for Boone County. Each fact keeps its source and checked date.
Written rules describe policy, not proof that every search follows it. Agency-reported camera totals have a different scope from community-mapped county points.
Program status reported by the source
Union's September 9, 2026 meeting minutes report that the sheriff's Flock deployment was delayed for research and public feedback. They attribute to a sheriff's representative the statement that the department had no Flock cameras in the county at that meeting. This does not establish a current inventory or the status of other operators' cameras.

Later agency program record
Union's September 21, 2026 minutes describe the sheriff's proposed ALPR implementation and the city's contract for sheriff patrol services. The discussion records city opposition to the proposal. This city meeting account does not establish a current countywide equipment inventory, completed installation, removal, account permissions or deletion of data.
The page is labeled October 6, 2026. Its approval and attestation lines are blank in the posted copy. Commissioner statements about data ownership are not adopted as verified contract terms.

What the public record establishes
The minutes describe a contract signed in June 2026, but the executed document, service dates and price were not reviewed. The September 9 meeting date is distinct from the minutes' October 6 publication. Historical patrol-car ALPR use described for 2010-2019 is not evidence of a current Flock deployment.
